Solar-powered-LED light fixture

Tsola is a recessed LED unit that uses natural daylight to create energy-free lighting and is suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications. It was conceived by London-based Sutton Vane Associates and is available in two sizes and six standard LED colors.

With the ability to harness energy in both clear and overcast conditions, a waterproof IP68 rating, an operating temperature between –40 and 158°F (–40 to 70°C), and resistance to point and impact load, Tsola can be used in the most demanding of situations and applications. It requires no electrical supply or maintenance and is ideal for retrofitting existing areas where it is unacceptable or impractical to lay new electrical cable. Subsequently, it can be installed by non electrical-certified personnel. The unit uses a pseudo-capacitor rather than batteries to maximize efficiency and longevity and to facilitate all-weather energy harnessing. It features an automatic cut on-off level at 150 lux as well as high-performance LEDs.
