Flexible polypropylene and polycarbonate shelving system
Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec’s Self is a modular display cabinet comprised by simple, playful elements. White or black polypropylene shelves are stacked vertically using transparent polycarbonate support panels in multiple colors. Self may be built quickly in various configurations without the need for tools. The shelving can be open, closed, or accessed from both sides and can function as a bookshelf, display cabinet, or room divider. Self can even be configured in “bridge” configurations, spanning over partitions or creating voids for taller objects. In this way, Self approaches the ultimate state of flexibility.
