Light-transmitting concrete
Lucem has created a line of concrete products that use embedded optical fibers to transmit light through the concrete and even appear translucent in some cases. The LINE series integrates 200,000 fibers per square meter. By infusing LED display technology into the material, the concrete can also become a display. With this application, solid walls can display information, branding, or mood lighting. The concrete can be used for indoor or outdoor use.
