Hand-tufted wool rug with fiber optics
Influenced by an apprenticeship in Japan, designer Jody Harrow developed Groundplans, a floor-covering collection consisting of hand-tufted wool rugs with integrated fiber optics. Her Celestial Night rug features Ursa Major and its surrounding constellations, and the stars are encrusted with fiber-optic strands that shine against the backdrop of the dark wool.
