Spherical micro solar cells

Sphelar is currently the most versatile photovoltaic (PV) technology in the market. Made from single crystalline silicon, it has the durability and reliability of conventional silicon-based PV, yet the micro spherical shape of cells makes it lightweight and extremely pliable. Some of Sphelar’s unique features are: 1) high photo-electric conversion efficiency, 2) omni-directionality, 3) module transparency, 4) configurability in series or parallel circuits, and 5) fits almost any shape and size module.

Sphelar technology is ideal for building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Sphelar modules can be easily integrated with curtain walls, windows, roofing materials, canopies, etc. Sphelar is also ideal for ubiquitous computing and electronics, because the micro spherical particles are smaller and more effective than conventional photovoltaics.
