Woven-rattan lounge chair

Designed and fabricated by Project Import Export, Space Hog is inspired by the human womb and is intended to be viewed from the rear of the chair, where a small opening symbolizes the birth canal. The woven-rattan patterns signify the texture and consistency of the venous configuration of the womb. Rattan is a plant that can be harvested several times a year. Space Hog is made using nonpolluting, low-energy processes without the use of toxic additives.
