Heat-cured epoxy adhesive tape

The L-8100 series heat-cured structural adhesive tape can be used to replace resistance welds and mechanical fasteners to visually improve critical show surfaces on metal office furniture, household appliances, and automobiles. This product can often reduce cost by eliminating time-consuming drill and rivet operations. L-8100 is also more consistent, provides higher strength, eliminates waste and cleanup operations compared to pumpable adhesives. Moreover, L-8100 can be used to reduce local stress concentrations that lead to fatigue cracking and premature product failure.

Supplied as rolls or unique die-cut shapes, L-8100 is formulated to adhere to oily metal surfaces. Additionally, this product can be supplied with one nontacky side for ease of handling and application, which may be performed either manually or through automation. L-8100 is resistant to all types of phosphate and phosphoric-acid cleaning solutions as well as mineral and vanishing oils commonly found on sheet metal.
