Ivy-inspired solar and wind energy curtain

Grow is a hybrid energy-delivery device inspired by ivy. Grow’s “leaves” are flexible organic photovoltaic panels that capture solar energy and convert it into electricity. Each leaf is attached by a robust piezoelectric generator at the leaf’s stem. When the leaves flutter in the wind, the stems flex to produce electricity while also creating a provocative kinetic experience.

Grow’s modular system is designed to be attached to any surface of a building that receives sunlight and wind. Grow designers SMIT utilize recycled and reclaimed materials wherever possible and are committed to sustainable methods of recycling in order to minimize the product’s environmental footprint at the end of its lifespan.
