Lasercut-polystyrene module shelving

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec’s Brick modules are lasercut polystyrene shelving units. Originally conceived for the backdrop for an exhibition, the Brick system represents an idea for a new, upscaled iteration of the common building unit. The modules are designed to be easy to assemble and capable of being adapted to various configurations. The Bouroullecs selected polystyrene-cutting as the mode of production in part because of its international ubiquity; Brick may therefore be manufactured on demand near the sites of use.
