Wall-mounted shelving system

Designers Johannes Herbertsson and Karl-Henrik Rennstam created the Alog shelf based on the wall-hung magazine rack. Noting that the longevity of a magazine issue varies according to a subscriber’s interest in its content, Herbertsson and Rennstam designed a shelving system to allow for the easy rearrangement and alteration of shelves in relation to the ongoing flow of small and large, thick and thin magazines in a typical library. Alog consists of removable shelves that are inserted into a wall mounted panel with a grooved surface. The shelves are locked into place by their own weight, thus eliminating the need for any extra fittings.
