Bamboo and coconut-palm strips with a cloth backing

Smith and Fong’s Tambour is a flexible, lightweight panel that is a cost effective and highly durable solution for curved and flat walls, doors, column surrounds, ceiling panels, and furniture components. Tambour is made from individual strips of finished, unfinished, and raw bamboo strips in 4 x 8 foot panels or unfinished and finished coconut palm in 2 1/2 x 6 foot panels. The material may be cut with typical woodworking tools and preferably applied with a low-VOC adhesive.
