Light-additive color system

Square Eclipse is an additive-color light fixture that uses twenty-four microcontrolled tricolor light-emitting diodes (LEDs) carefully positioned behind the unit to create geometric patterns of light and shadow. Square Eclipse brings attention to its perimeter, creating kaleidoscopic patterns that take advantage of light’s additive-color properties. The intersection of colored contours from one LED with contours from others creates new patterns and colors emanating across the surface behind the unit.
