Interactive lighting modules

Mitosis is a modular lighting system that is always changing. Creator NONdesigns’ goal was to redesign the way that lights are turned on and off and enable users to not only control the amount of light being emitted, but the patterns, shapes and impressions that the lights create.

Mitosis is intended to propel lighting from the object world into the realm of the spatial environment. Glowing colored orbs illuminate when touched once and return to their off states when touched again. Each capsule of light contains one LED and one switch that toggles it on and off when pressed. This simple and robust system invites playful interaction, bringing life to its environment.
