Radiant-heating glass

Spaces clad primarily in glass are often poorly insulated and uncomfortably cold during winter months. Condensation is also a problem when single-pane glass encounters a large temperature differential. Although glass technology has improved considerably, the low surface temperature of traditional glass remains a problem.

IQ Glass is an electrically heated glass that addresses the temperature differential at its source. Depending on the local climate conditions and percentage of glass used in the facade, IQ Glass may be used as the sole heating source in a building. According to the manufacturer, IQ Glass will provide heating during the most severe winter months and conversely block solar radiation during the hottest summer months, all while providing a 15 to 35 percent energy savings when compared to traditional systems.
