Unlike other renewable energy sources, quietrevolution is also available in a unique model capable of creating a striking visual display that is part illuminated billboard, part artwork, part renewable energy device.
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) embedded in each of its three S-shaped blades fire in sequence as the blades rotate, painting a video screen that appears to hang in the air. This full color and motion image is clearly visible day and night.

I think it is too expensive! Very long time to get profit from it !
From wikipedia: “The blades of a Darrieus turbine can be canted into a helix, e.g. three blades and a helical twist of 60 degrees, similar to Gorlov’s water turbines”.
So, not so new, but proven.
I was wondering whether a Darrieus rotor might be more unobtrusive in urban environments – something with a pointy tip might not look out of place on the roofline.
