Punched-paper place mats

Fragments is a series of paper place mats featuring punched-out patterns. They are all segments of the same pattern design, with references to bindings and punch-card images that form the basis of woven textiles. The place mats are flexible fragments that can be oriented to create an endless number of combinations, and they can be combined as desired to form individual table settings. Fragments actively engages the user in creating continuously new patterns.
