Interlocking fabric tile assembly

In collaboration with Kvadrat, designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have created Clouds, an innovative, interlocking fabric tile concept for the home. Clouds can be used as an installation and be hung from a wall or ceiling.

Clouds evolves as you add elements to it, producing a unique three-dimensional effect, coating architecture in a fluid yet chaotic way. Inspired by the inviting irregularity of the surface, you construct your own piece by aggregating tiles until a multi-faceted topographical surface begins to emerge. Self-expression lies at the heart of the appeal of Clouds.

The tiles are made of one element and are attached by special rubber bands. Creating your own piece is quick and easy, whether you want a simple design or a complex decorative screen or wall. You can easily arrange and re-arrange the tiles to reflect your individual style and bring new ideas into your home, time and time again.

Clouds comes in two fabrics—Divina and Tempo. In Tempo, it is available in 3 color combinations including: zesty orange/ brown, dark/ light blue and lime green/ slate blue. Divina is available in light/dark blue, light/dark grey, burgundy/deep purple and black/white. Both fabrics come in a choice of 8 or 24 tiles (24 tile boxes are a mix of three colors).
