Light-filtering honeycomb panels
Panelite Bonded Series translucent honeycomb panels exhibit directional transparency, offering dynamic views while transmitting up to 65 percent daylight to interior spaces. The honeycomb structure amplifies daylight because light bounces within the honeycomb cells. Some daylight is transmitted directly, but most is diffused, reducing the energy required for artificial lighting, reducing glare, and increasing user comfort.
Directional transparency means that the degree of transparency of the Bonded Series panel varies dynamically, through movement, as the angle of the viewer’s line of sight changes and as the viewer’s distance to the panel changes. Factors such as privacy, light transmission, and views may be customized based on cell diameter, color, and facing finish (transparent or satin).
