Energy-efficient diffuse daylighting system
Duo-Gard Daylighting with 3S Solar Block represents an advance in high-performance daylighting technology using translucent polycarbonate glazing. The vision-enhanced, spectrally-selective coating is applied to the interior of the sheet’s structural cells in order to block all ultraviolet and 90% of infrared light, meanwhile allowing up to 70% visible light transmission. 3S Solar Block brings higher performance to all applications requiring the benefits of natural light without heat gain. It reduces a building’s heat load by up to 50%, depending on the coating’s thickness—allowing for the installation of smaller, more efficient air conditioning equipment that enjoys longer life spans and less maintenance.
